What are some of the controversies in Quranic Studies today? Is there really a “Meccan” and a “Medinan” Quran? What are the similarities and dissimilarities between Allah and the Biblical God? The Jenkins Center was pleased to host Professor Gabriel Said Reynolds to answer these questions and more as we continued our Academic Lecture Series at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary on August 27–28, 2021. Professor Reynolds completed his doctoral work at Yale University in Islamic Studies. Currently he researches the Qur’ān and Muslim/Christian relations and is Professor of Islamic Studies and Theology in the Department of Theology at Notre Dame where he teaches courses on theology, Muslim/Christian Relations, and Islamic Origins.
