On August 26th, Dr. Hikmat Kashouh – a pastor of a growing local church in Beirut, Lebanon that is focusing on serving Muslims with the Gospel and discipling them – led us in an academic lecture where he answered the question, “Was the Bible translated into Arabic before the rise of Islam?”
Dr. Kashouh was thorough in his approach and provided insightful information about the Bible’s journey to an Arabic translation and where that fell in the timeline of the establishment of the Islamic religion. Knowing this history can be incredibly helpful as we engage Muslims with the gospel and have productive conversations with them about Islam and Christianity.
We are immensely grateful for Dr. Kashouh’s research, wisdom, and willingness to come and share with us about this fascinating topic.
